Welcome to Penzance Pointers

Our puppies are excellent companions and ambassadors for Pointers everywhere. We strive to produce sound, correct moving Pointers with exceptional breed type. It is also essential that our dogs can perform in the field. Our first Pointer, Emmet, AFC/Ch Kinnike Emmet's Antic's JH achieved his championship and Amateur Field Championship being the 4th Pointer in the history of the breed to accomplish both titles. Most of our dogs have Junior Hunter titles and juvenile Field Trial stake wins and placements. We take extreme care and consideration of our puppies' temperaments. They are extensively socialized in many different environments and prove to be stable happy pets. Many of our dogs participate as Therapy dogs certified with both TDI and Delta Society. They visit schools, nursing homes, and hospitals and participate as READ dogs in libraries and schools.

Penzance is a young kennel whose first litter was whelped in 2000. One of our most successful show dogs came from that first litter, River, Penzance Kent of Kinnike, who now has 16 championship titles from around the world including Spain, Venezuela, Guatemala and Costa Rica in addition to his American and Canadian championships. He also won the 2005 Spanish National Pointer Specialty with an entry of over 60 dogs and was best of breed at the 2005 World Show in Argentina.

We are also proud to have co-bred Ethel, Ch Kinnike Ethel of Penzance, the first Bitch to ever complete her championship from specialty wins only including Winners Bitch at the 2003 American Pointer Club National. Her sister Isobel, Ch Kinnike Isobell of Penzance JH completed her championship entirely from the Bred by Exhibitor class winning several Best of Breeds over multiple specials, and Winners Bitch/Best of Winners at the September 2004 Pointer Club of New Jersey specialty. She also won the Best Bred by Exhibitor award at the Eukanuba Invitational in Tampa Florida January 2005. We are also proud of Penzance Enigma of Kinnike JH who was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Bred By Exhibitor at the 2005 American Pointer Club National Specialty. Edie has also placed in nearly every puppy field trial stake she was entered in.

We have the good fortune to co-own and co-breed with several reputable breeders around the world including Erica Bandes of Kinnike Kennels in Virginia, Carrie Sablone of Enigma Kennels in Florida, Julie Pullan of Ontario, Canada, Linda Valentino of California, Dee Andrutis of Massachusetts, Sarah Terns and Richard Rogers of North Carolina, Tuija Verho in Finland and Jose Omar Gonzalez in Venezuela.

Penzance is also committed to rescue and Maggie is one of the co-founders of the very effective and well run www.PointerRescue.Org organization that is now the American Pointer Club designated rescue. Maggie has fostered and rehomed over 300 rescue dogs.
