While deafness is NOT a major issue in Pointers, there is a unilatterally deaf dog in this pedigree. He was bred before we knew his hearing status (he was promptly neutered) and he has produced 1 deaf pup and 1 unilaterally deaf pup in one litter and 4 normal pups in his second. His grand children are all normal. These puppies will be BAER tested before they go to their new homes.
